Haines Borough, Alaska launches new website

Haines Borough, Alaska launched it's new website June, 2012.  It is expected that this new website will contribute to the strategic goal of increased tourism. 

McDowell Group research indicates that more than half of all Alaska visitors utilize the Internet to research and plan their Alaska vacation. Independent travelers use the Internet frequently to book portions of their trip including airline tickets, hotel reservations, car rental and tours. Cruise passengers also report frequent usage of the Internet, but their activity is more often destination research and less frequent booking compared to other travelers.

In addition to this goal, Haines Borough is looking forward to it's citizens enjoying additional ease in their website experience.
